Yes Please

If anyone fancies buying Tory Bear a present then how about the wireless Blackberry

charger
? He has no idea how it works,
this article
is less than specific, but it sounds like it could be an incredibly useful bit of kit:

Or maybe something he'd use once or twice and get bored off like most other gadgets. Either way it is exciting that the technology is improving.

One day his battery will last forever, one day.

A wireless charger?
Haven't a clue how that works either but it sounds bloody marvelous. Although I can't help thinking that you'll end up charging all the phones in the district ;-)

Btw, have you seen

the latest app
for the iPhone yet? Very creepy ;-)

It seems to be the same principle as those cat flap collar-mounted transponders that are powered by an induction field put out by the flap electronics.

It's about time that other uses were found for this "induction powering" technology.

Having had the same exited reaction, I went and had a look. To make this work you have to stick that jacket / case on your iPhone...

Not quite sure how that makes it quite so much better than an iPod cable plugged into the wall :(

Not while there's a Labour government it won't

Working part-time in the electronics dept. at John Lewis Bluewater has its advantages, in that we have them now, and I intend to get one for my Blackberry/Ipod.

If you fancy one TB, just pop down, or go to Oxford St/Peter Jones (Sloane Sq) stores - they'll have'em too :)
