Why We Need the EU
Ever wondered where we could save a little cash? A topical question today. Why not start with the ridiculous amount of money we pour into the European Union. And you're not going to like it when you see just what your hard earned bucks are spent on. TB wonders how long it took, and how much the EU Directorate-General for Infrastructure and Logistics (DG INLO) are paid:
What treat have they prepared for zee useless Parliament staff? Well a slide show of course:
So there we go mes amies, now you know how to use a trunk. Another victory for the Project!

I don't know how to upload slide shows.
Had this a few days ago and cried with laughter. How to use a lock is my own favourite
Of course the real waste is the cost of transporting the EU machinery between Brussels and Strasbourg.
All well and good, TB but when are the Tories(or indeed the other 2 parties) going to get us out of the EU. The answer? Never.
There's not really much point complaining is there.
The real waste is the entire EU
zees foreigners are hilarious. Ve von zee war, Fritz!! Oh, stop it! They'll be formulating a effective, albeit somewhat imperfect, model to bring peace and, ahem, relative economic prosperity to a hitherto warring and blighted continent next. Honestly, zees foreigners! You can't say anything these days, can you?
What about the cost of preparing this in the other 35 languages? (Well, if there aren't 35 yet, we can always add a few dialects)
I particularly enjoyed the 'how to use a lock' too - not least because it hightlighted the dangers of what might happen if you get it wrong: you might... SNAG YOUR TIGHTS!
Isn't the whole point of the EU supposed to be cross border policing, better financial regulation, and hell - aren't we paying them £6B for the privilidge of sending their sons to help us 'win' in Afghanistan?
How will the EU ever recover from the terrible revolution that some bit of it made a rather silly corporate slideshow! The blame lies with health-and-safety culture, for which the British government is as much to blame as the EU.
You will be delighted to know that EU civil servants do not pay tax (they contribute at their own discretion a percentage to the EU). MEP's have just got this as well. A good case of putting their money where their mouth is - and they don't.
And i thought it was only the Brits who were pig ignorant useless dolts.
Mike and Walter, you may be interested to know that it's not just MEPs who don't pay tax - it's everyone who works in the Parliament.
