Doesn't sound very bigoted. More confused. She was asking her leader a question to which he says he couldn't respond. Why not? Instead he smeared her to his staff and the world.

What a lovely little story which could have been so easily avoided. You'd have to have a heart of stone to not be a little sympathetic to the unelected, spendthrift, control freak bully.
At least we know why Brown gets kept away from the public wherever possible then.
He obviously has total contempt for the electorate, even (former) Labour voters.
