Purcell Leaves Rehab
TB got a fair bit of flack for his alluding to exactly why Steven Purcell quit as leader of Glasgow Council. The
usual hysterics
came from the usual places last night to suggest that TB was wrong. Well the BBC are now confirming
that Purcell this morning left a drug rehabilitation clinic south of Edinburgh. TB wishes no ill toward Mr Purcell but sees no reason why he even bothered trying to cover it up by retaining a man who claims to be "Scotland's Max Clifford" to handle the crisis. It's always the lying that makes the story...

You didn't say that about Ashcroft.
His mate Charlie says hi...
My hysterics were about you playing the man and not the ball.
The fact of the matter is that type of treatment that anybody undergoes is subject to patient doctor priviledge. Yesterday and today you stand alone as one person who has not wished Steven (note the spelling) a recovery of any type in anything you have said.
Whether the stress that was cited led to the issues that meant he sought help from that facility does not negate he fact that he realised he needed help and sought it. You on the other hand were chasing after something in a totally insensitive manner.
no stephen you got it wrong.
you accused me of spraeding false info that turned out to be spot on.
oh well, keep up your good work.
Whatever it is that Bears do in the woods, they certainly don't learning spelling there.
It's allude that you mean rather than elude which is arguably what Mr Purcell might have been trying to do.
Sometimes - oh happy moment - Tory Bear gets a whiff of 'scandal', and, if he doesn't burst a blood vessel out of sudden joy, he will rush to share the news with his little band of readers.
Ah, they may think, this time TB has caught the evil-doer red-handed. This time he has some devious parliamentarian or politician bang to rights. The truth exposed. That is something they would all like to see.
Steven Purcell enters rehab clinic, eh? Hmmm. Once again it is only the length of TB's nose from scandal to trivia.

Ashcroft told no lies, as far as I'm aware, he simply kept quiet.
Perhaps, whilst you're flogging the non-dom horse, you'd like to make a statement on Lord Paul, his abuse of the company's pension fund and his call-up to the Privy Council. Perhaps you'd like to explain exactly what he has done to deserve it? Perhaps you'd like to comment on Paul's threat to leave the UK (and the Lords) if he is forced to pay the rate of income tax that his Govt introduced and he voted for?
