Lib Dem PPC does the right thing.
ConservativeHome is
"When I heard you speak I realised that you as leader and the Liberal Democrats are the not the party I had once believed in and is so very out of touch with everyday life and people in our country.
"It saddens me to say but that day I lost all faith in you and the party and I can no longer continue to be a part of the Liberal Democrat party of today."
Will this be the first of many Lib Dems seeing the light?

that Norsheen Bhatti, Liberal Democrat Campaigner

to say about Nick Clegg..."When I heard you speak I realised that you as leader and the Liberal Democrats are the not the party I had once believed in and is so very out of touch with everyday life and people in our country.

Somewhat spurious logic on the part of this Lib Dem PPC: "Lib Dems become a bit more Conservative under Campbell; then even more so under Clegg; I don't like this, so I'll join... Err, the Conservatives!"
Crikey. Well, she's certainly welcome as far as I'm concerned!
If I was a lib dem (lol!), then I would have been out of there pretty sharpish as soon as that empty suit Clegg became leader.
On the other hand, she's maybe just thinking she's more likely to get elected as a Tory than a Lib Dem, which, while true, isn't an awfully good reason to switch sides.
Not the first. At my count there must be knocking on for 10 LD PPCs, either from the last General or in this case the next one, who have come over since DC became leader.
I love how the link is gone from the LD site:

A lot of female LibDems are more right wing economically but liberal socially. The LibDems have become more left wing economically but haven't become anymore liberal socially.
Nick Clegg has been an enormous disappointment since becoming leader and more of the women in this party think that than the men.
LibDems rely on the votes of women more than any other demographic so if the female PPCs are turning off him it's a sign the party is in (more) trouble.
'Citing that she wants to see more black and asian MPs'?
I'm glad she's now a confessed tory then, as I don't want such illiberal racism in my party.
