Justine Greening MP who looks after CF is set to be promoted to the Shadow Cabinet according to the
This is fantastic news for Justine who has worked tirelessly with CF over the last few years and has led the membership boom from the top. CF owes her a lot.
It is unlikely Justine could continue with the CF role and a ministerial portfolio...
Who would you guys like to see take over?

Mark Clakre would do a good job, I hear they have a solid working relationship

He he he ;)
Might sound silly but i'd quite like a few PPC's to be elected to lead us, rather than an unelected MP. Would give them vital experience and us a sense of which direction the Party is following?
Gemma Garrett!!
James Cleverly. Dunno if he would want to. He is young, vibrant, enthused about social networking and ways to engage young people.
Matt Richardson? I believe he's got a bit of time on his hands these days.
Be a nice comeback too, like Timmy Mallet.
MPs?
David Davis.. he ain't doing much.
Joe Gibson: Because a PPC should be spending there time dicking around with CF instead of trying to win a seat? Honestly, how do we keep coming up with such bollocks.
Why have you put a load of '+++' around this? Is it because you think it's some kind of breaking news? I guess it could be... to those that don't read Sky News, Iain Dale or ConHome.
If they've already been selected to run for a seat then they might want to gain closer links to the Party as well as with those who are likely to be running the Party in the future, namely members of CF.
Would also work as a way of gaining media and name recognition.
14 July 2008 21:20 - if you don't like it why don't you hop off back to the aforementioned sites.
Joe, what could possibly be more important? Gaining links with a few jumped up CFers or gaining a seat from Labour? Being a PPC is hard work. Just because you get selected doesnt mean you can coast into parliament.
If some PPC misses out in a marginal seat by 500 votes, because they wasted time steering the direction of CF, they would look (and almost certainly feel) like a dick.
Its a terrible idea.
Ah well, it was only a suggestion in the first place, and to be honest I still don't think it is the worst thing that could happen. But obviously it would never please the majority so I shall retreat from it gracefully...
However, I do not think we have any particular direction at the moment and so it would be nice to be in touch with where the future Conservative Party is going, but I shall accept defeat.
