Lib Dems getting desperate?

Labour are heading for electoral disaster and as much as the Lib Dems would like to hoover up some of the disillusioned voters, they are thank fully heading straight for Dave. However desperate they are getting though, invoking the conflict in Gaza for election literature in a London Borough by-election shows just how low the Lib Dems are willing to stoop...

Not entirely surprised that the candidate is called Patel and not, say, Goldberg...

1. Please can we see the whole leaflet. The Gaza story is a very small part of the leaflet, telling voters of Liberal policy of not selling arms to Israel.
2. Conservative council by-election leaflets have carried national policies.
3. It is very kind of the Liberals to let TB publish part of their leaflet; I seem to recall the Conservatives threatening legal actions when the Liberals did something similar.

I see a lot of CF blogs carrying a supprt Israel logo. So what is so wrong with the Lib Dems reiterating their policy.

So a party is supporting the policy they announced publicly? How is this wrong? Or are you just pro-Israel and thus any other view is wrong?

Anonymous and Jordan D, I'm sure if you read the post properly, you will notice that it is a London Borough by-election leaflet. So tell me, now you have, does Israel and Gaza really come under borough councils' responsibilities? Is it relevant? No, didn't think so.

No it isn't relevant, it is a small part of a leaflet. The Tories have pushed national policies in by-elections in the past. What about the 'support Israel' logos on CF blogs - So tell me, does Israel and Gaza really come under CF responsibilities? Is it relevant? No, didn't think so.

Don't be ridiculous.. there is a different between someones personal blog and manipulating the international news agenda for a LOCAL borough election.
