I have managed to ascertain the following details from a member of the bar staff; the soft furnishings are to be deep cleaned (probably to get the ZaNuLiebor stench and slime out of them prior to, hopefully, a new breed of political animal taking up residence soon after May 6), the bar is to be re-varnished and some of the paintwork is to be re-done. A hot food bar will be added to the main bar area, apparently where the current kitchen area is.
I have had a guarantee that hot milk (brandy optional) will still be available to those seeking the nursery comforts of the House during recess.
All in all I think the refurbishment may be less of a tragedy than we at first imagined. Well I hope it is at least!ToryTittleTattlerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05229397965475358402noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2787283052819380346.post-54412016277037603472010-02-17T09:41:08.474Z2010-02-17T09:41:08.474ZI wish I could be there. Still, wish I could be there.TheBigYinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10072165710888952465noreply@blogger.com
