Of course Labour are a bunch of dirty hypocrites. This has been evident for a long time. It was still a daft thing to do.

No one is going to get upset if a spoof attacks a politician because they are widely deemed to be totally fair game to pretty much any abuse.

Attacking voters on the other hand is something people that people will take more offense to.

Implying labour voters are thieves or people on benefits are unemployed drug addicts is something they can use to pain the Conservatives as the "nasty" party and one who looks down with contempt on those sections of society.

It is giving fodder to the hypocrites on the left who are constantly trying to blacken our name. Of course it's not fair, but it was still a stupid thing to do.
