It is the production of feed for the animals, which helps them mature so they can then be slaughtered. I read the other day that if everyone became vegetarian and therefore, there was no commercial meat production there would be 30 times the amount of grain and cereal crops available for human consumption. However I love my steak and wouldn’t give it up for anything. I wonder if Ben will now propose that all CF members become vegetarian to off set his campaigns carbon footprint???
