This will give an illusion of anti-tory momentum, which if successful Labour could build on.<br /><br /> 2: They hope it will make them sound sorta reasonable and sorta non-partisan. This is the exact opposite of the truth and its all entirely partisan.<br /><br /> 3: Labour hopes it will mess up the LDs in LD/Labour marginals.
