Quote of the Day

"I love it when high earning celebs like Bill Nighy and Richard Curtis start campaigning for banker taxes. Oh, and Fearne Cotton is in favour of it too... based, presumably, on her economics degree?"

It is clearly time for some windfall taxes across the entertainment industry.

Less of a "Tobin Tax" and more of a "Luvvie Levy".

It will be better for the rest of us if the luvvies are stressing about their own earnings, rather than poking their noses into things they don't understand.

Robin Hood would be spinning in his grave that someone wants to put his name to a tax.

After seeing various comments on the Robin Hood tax and getting various messages after posing opposition to it, I've set up a proper reply criticising the policy - it can be viewed here:

The luvvies all love Labour and their tax-grab ways, so they should be happy to give mountains of their own money away.

80p in the pound would be a good start, and the more they support Labour, the more they should pay.

I'd like to see David Tenant have a minimum of 90% of his earnings go to the treasury, and with how often his mug is on the TV and hos voice on the radio, he could probably halve the deficit by himself.
