Quote of the Day

TB was chatting to some people while MacAskill was giving his ridiculous justifications for releasing a mass murderer. A certain silver fox piped up with this absolute gem:

"I can't believe they clap in the Scottish Parliament. It's like a student union."

So true. On so many levels.

I assume you are referring to the MSPs as spectators are banned from clapping (as Mr. Fergusson showed us today).

It's an all-round fairly undignified place.

Still, it's not the hand-clapping, the rubbish venue or even its constitution which make it awful; it's the dross who inhabit most of the chairs.
